Sage GrossiSage Grossi, 30, Tempe, Ariz.

A Nevada Passage veteran, 30-year-old Sage Grossi is excited to be a part of the Land Rover G4 Challenge because it gives her a chance to get dirty, feel scared and triumphant all in one day.  A part-time professor of Atmospheric Science and part-time contractor in sports event management in Tempe, Ariz., Grossi mountain bikes, runs and swims on a weekly basis and considers her athletic specialty to be endurance racing.  She’s trained for long distances and rough conditions.  Grossi describes adventure as anything outside the normal routine and says that the most adventurous thing she has ever done is sailing from Rhode Island to Bermuda in five days.  Enthusiastic, excitable and gregarious, Grossi is passionately involved in a number of children’s fitness charities around the world, including Chances for Children and Be Active. Grossi is a three-time XTERRA Southwest Region Champion in her age division.

Nate BrownNate Brown, 31, Cedarburg, Wis.

As a six-year Navy veteran and a Navy Seal, 31 year-old Nate Brown from Cedarburg, Wis., has experienced adventures all over the world on both land and water. In 2003, Brown sailed his 40-foot sailboat over 1,400 nautical miles, solo, which he credits as his greatest adventure, to date. Brown enjoys running several times a week, along with daily push ups, sit ups and pull ups. Depending on the season, Brown can be found biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing or snowshoeing. For Brown, adventure offers opportunities for limitless self discovery and since life is short, adventure can define your life, he says. A certified hyperbaric technologist, Brown is also trained in combat medicine along with diesel and small engine repair. Brown is excited to have the opportunity to compete in the Land Rover G4 Challenge Nevada Passage as he is a Land Rover enthusiast who currently owns two Land Rovers. Brown says that he wants to be a part of Land Rover history.
